Here’s a close-up of Chappell Roan’s red carpet nails to go with a flashback fashion look from Jean Paul Gaultier. The artist explained how he achieved this manicure, starting with XXL coffin extensions and OPI products like Mexico City Move-mint for pale green to match the gloves.
Next, he painted the French tips with Black Onyx followed by gold chrome. Finally, he added a coat of builder gel and placed the crystals, sealing the finish with a glossy top coat.

It was a busy night for celebrity nail artist Juan Alvear who also sculpted 3D rose nails for Teddy Swims using Aprés nail products. This look is interesting because of the way the petals and leaves spill off the edges as if the flowers were sprouting from his fingertips.

Artist Mycah Dior was part of the team that created Cynthia Erivo’s costumes for the movie Wicked. Now she also did the performer’s set for the Grammys 2025. The theme was based on “Fly Me to The Moon” and the starry sky on a clear night.

Can you guess what artist did Jennifer Lopez’s Grammy nails? If you said Tom Bachik, you’re right! He called it her “iced chai mani”. After perfecting their shape and pushing back the cuticles, he applied magnetic polish in the champagne color you see below, followed by a glossy top coat.

Doechii’s Standout Look
Rapper Doechii was also a winner on multiple fronts during the 2025 Grammys. First, she won Best Rap Album, becoming the third woman to claim this victory. And second, her ensemble, hair, and nails were winners in the fashion pages. Her artist, Rachel Sun, had a preview of the evening’s outfit from Thom Browne and spent three days perfecting the nail design. In an interview with Byrdie, she said she wanted the nails to go along with the story Doechii was telling on stage but also go along with her red carpet appearance.
She began by filing the performer’s long nails into rounded square tips and painted them pale gray. Then she added stripes and texture with flocking powder. In close-up photos, you can see the dark gray curves near the cuticle.
Sabrina Carpenter’s Red Carpet Sparkle
Can you guess the artist who did Grammy winner Sabrina Carpenter’s nails for the red carpet? If you said Zola Ganzorigt, that’s correct! And if you think this set resembles glazed strawberry milk nails, you’d also be right on the money. Cardi B’s Translucent Claws
Celebrity artist Coca Michelle also turned to OPI to make these extra pointy stiletto nails for Cardi B. The beautiful iridescence of the sheer tips is set off by the sassy black outlines. In some photos, you can see how the nails are also notched. The artist shaped the edges by trimming shallow scoops.
Janelle Monae’s Cat Eye Nails
Artist Angie Aguirre was in sync with the rest of Janelle Monae’s team creating her look for the Grammys 2025. Due to the devastating LA wildfires, the performer wanted to tone down her typical over-the-top appearance. However, she still wore something similar to her favorite style.
On her fingertips, she had silver cat eye polish with small gems that matched her red carpet gray suit dress perfectly. Plus, the manicure still fit her on-stage navy power suit and oversized jewelry.
Madison Beer’s French Tips
What about minimalist manicures at the Grammy’s? Artist Sreynin Peng designed Madison Beer’s nails with Aprés Gel-X tips in the performer’s favorite shape, natural medium almond.
