Kiara Sky Gel Pro: what the HEMA-free label covers

Gel Pro is the HEMA-free gel polish line from Kiara Sky, the Los Angeles brand whose gel and powder are made in the USA. Every Gel Pro bottle is made without HEMA, TPO, TT and TMPTA. The formula is built for one-swipe colour: it self-levels, the EaseGlide FiberBrush hugs the cuticle line, and it cures to a glass-like shine. Is Kiara Sky gel polish HEMA-free?

The Gel Pro line is. The HEMA-free claim belongs to Gel Pro specifically, not to every Kiara Sky gel: the older numbered Kiara Sky gel polish shades are a separate line and are not sold as HEMA-free. When a client asks for HEMA-free gel, check that the bottle says Gel Pro before you start the service.

HEMA-free does not mean a client can never react. Leaving HEMA out removes one known allergen, but other acrylates are still present in any gel. For a client who has reacted before, a patch test on one nail before a full set is the sensible step, and so is keeping uncured gel off the skin.

Milky nudes and sheers

For clean, natural sets start with Milky Rose (a sheer milky rose), Splash Of Milk (a sheer milky base), Pink Your Poison (a sheer rosy pink with a warm flush) and Love Fool (a sheer peachy pink). For a little more coverage, Whisper is a soft nude, Peek-A-Boo a sheer warm nude, In a Daze a dreamy nude cream, Satin Finish a refined pink-beige and Halfhearted a pale nude. Wing It is a sheer dusty pink with a translucent finish.

Pinks

The It Girl is a classic soft pink and The Missing Pink a light, lively one. Dreamgirl reads as bubblegum, Hot Shot as a vivid pink and Diary Of A Diva as fuchsia. Girly Pop leans coral pink, while Radio Silent and Make Your Mauve are the dusty, muted options.

Reds, berries and wines

Dirty Shirley is a cherry red and Fever Dream a warm red. For depth, Wine And Only is a wine red, Deeply Devoted a deep mahogany and Talk Flirty To Me a deep berry. Sweet Seduction is a deep burgundy with a subtle shimmer, NDA a pink-purple with a plum-wine richness and Royal Gossip an intense deep magenta.

Blues and teals, including Tiffany Blues

For a Tiffany blue gel polish, the Gel Pro shade is Tiffany Blues. Around it sit Hint of Winkle (a soft winkle blue), Sea Salt (a soft blue), In the Air (a sky blue) and Icy Stare (a cool blue). Blue The Day and Muted Blue are the dusty blues, Love So Deep is a true blue and Tidal Babe a deep ocean shade. For teal, In My Teals is bold and Group Text adds a green twist, while Surf The Wave is a light blue-green.

Greens and yellows

Aloe There is a pastel green with a minty touch and Pistachio Pop a pastel green as well. Don't Lettuce Down and Perfect Lawn are fresh, lively greens, So Inspire-green a light emerald and The Tree Musketeers a forest green. On the yellow side, Lemon Creme is a buttery pastel yellow, California Dreaming a sunshine yellow, Sour Face a citrus yellow, Not Your Honey a honey yellow and Dijon Vu a deep mustard.

Purples and lilacs

Lavender Feels is a breezy lilac and Romance Novel a rosy lilac. Fig-ures is a dusty light purple, Verbena Bouquet a violet, Grape Escape and Felt Cute are grape purples in two depths, Plum-thing Special is a rich plum and Navy-gate Life a deep purple with a cool blue undertone.

Greys, browns, oranges and the basics

True Black (an inky black) and True White cover the basics. Grey-cious is a slate gray, Stone Cold a cool stone gray, On Taupe Of The World a gray with a warm taupe twist and Smokey Blush a muted gray-brown. Fawn Over Me is a warm fawn brown and All Bark a deep dark brown, with Buns Of Steel as a shimmer silver-gray. For warm brights, Sweet Tangerine is a tangerine coral, Bright Future a tangerine orange, Embers Glow a warm orange, Coral Cutie a peachy coral and Fuzzy Feelings a coral peach.

Ivy League: the Fall 2026 Gel Pro shades

Ivy League is Kiara Sky's Fall 2026 Gel Pro release: ten shades, nine creams and one glitter, each 0.5 fl oz. You can buy any shade as a single bottle or take the Set 10 Colors option, which is the only option that comes with a free LAVIS Chrome Powder Pearl.

The Gel Pro system: base, colour and top

The Rubber Base is a flexible base that self-levels over small dips in the nail plate, so it suits clients who are hard on their hands. Gel Pro also works as a design gel for line work and detailing, and chrome powder can be rubbed straight over a cured colour for a mirror finish.

How to apply Kiara Sky Gel Pro

1. Prep: push back the cuticle, buff the shine off the natural nail and remove the dust.
2. Base: apply a thin coat of the Gel Pro Rubber Base and cure it, 60 seconds under LED or 2 minutes under UV.
3. Colour: apply a thin coat of Gel Pro, cap the free edge and cure as the bottle directs. Repeat until you reach the coverage you want.
4. Top: seal with a no-wipe top coat and cure fully, or use the matte top for a velvet finish.
5. Finish: oil the cuticles and check the free edge is sealed on every nail.

Pro tip: keep every layer thin and away from the skin. Thin coats cure evenly, and keeping uncured gel off the cuticle is the simplest habit for clients who chose HEMA-free gel in the first place.

Removal and aftercare

• Soak-off: break the seal of the top coat, then soak in acetone for about 10 to 15 minutes, or use foil wraps.
• Lifting the gel: push the softened gel off with an orangewood stick. Do not scrape hard; give it more time in the acetone instead.
• Aftercare: ask clients to oil their cuticles daily between appointments.
