OPI Powder Perfection dip: what you will find here
Powder Perfection is OPI's dip system: colour comes from a fine powder instead of a polish, and the set hardens with a liquid activator that air-dries, so there is no UV or LED lamp in the service. OPI describes the powder as ultra-fine, which lets it go on smoothly without lumps, and the finished nail as lightweight but strong, with three weeks or more of wear. It needs less filing than acrylic, and OPI makes it in the USA.
This page holds every OPI dip product we list: single colour jars, pink and white jars in a larger size, the Dipping Essentials liquids, combos that pair a colour with a liquid set, starter kits, seasonal colour sets, large salon assortments and 3-in-1 sets that add the matching gel and lacquer. Narrow the grid with the filters for colour, availability, price or product type.
Jar sizes and formats
- Colour jars, 1.5 oz: the standard OPI dip jar, one shade per jar, carrying the same code OPI uses for the gel and the lacquer.
- Pink and white jars, 4.25 oz: a larger jar for the shades a salon goes through fastest. We carry it in S86 Bubble Bath, H22 Funny Bunny, L00 Alpine Snow, H19 Passion, P61 Samoan Sand and 001 Clear. Several of these also come in the 1.5 oz size.
- Dipping Essentials, 0.5 oz: Step 1 Base Coat, Step 2 Activator and Step 3 Top Coat as single bottles, a 3-step bundle with all three, and a 4-step bundle that adds the brush cleaner.
- Dip and liquid combos: one colour jar listed together with an OPI liquid set, so the colour and the liquids come in one order.
- Starter kits: six 1.5 oz colour jars in one box, such as Starter Kit 2 with A61 Taupe Less Beach, B56 Mod About You, N55 Spare Me a French Quarter, N61 Rich Girls & Po Boy, L64 Cajun Shrimp and L26 Suzi Chases Portu-geese.
- Salon assortments: 44-colour and 51-colour boxes of 1.5 oz jars for a full dip wall.
- 3-in-1 sets: the dip jar plus the gel and the lacquer in the same shade, collected in OPI 3-in-1 trio sets.

The Powder Perfection steps
- Prep: prepare the natural nail as you would for any enhancement service.
- Step 1 Base Coat: brush the base coat onto the nail.
- Dip: dip the nail into the colour powder at about a 45 degree angle.
- Step 2 Activator: apply the activator and let it air-dry. This is the step that hardens the powder, with no lamp involved.
- File and buff: shape the surface and smooth the edges.
- Second activator coat: apply the activator again after filing.
- Step 3 Top Coat: finish with the top coat for shine.
Pro tip: the activator goes on twice, once to harden the powder and again after filing, so a set uses more activator than base or top coat. The single 0.5 oz bottles let you reorder each step on its own instead of buying a whole bundle.
Pink and white dip from OPI
Two of OPI's Big 4 icons sit in the pink and white range: S86 Bubble Bath, a sheer warm candy pink often described as "your nails but better", and H22 Funny Bunny, a milky neutral soft white. They are not interchangeable: Bubble Bath gives a warm pink flush, Funny Bunny a cool, clean white. Around them, L00 Alpine Snow is a crisp true white for French tips, H19 Passion a cool milky pink, P61 Samoan Sand a warm sandy nude that suits medium and deep skin, and 001 Clear the transparent option. Together they cover neutral, natural-look and French dip work, and every one of them is listed in both the 1.5 oz and the 4.25 oz jar except 001 Clear, which comes in 4.25 oz. For salons that use these shades often, the 4.25 oz jar holds almost three times the powder of the 1.5 oz size. For a pink and white set beside other brands, compare the options in dipping powder from all brands.
One OPI code across dip, gel and lacquer
OPI keeps one code per shade across its formats, and most shades coordinate between Powder Perfection, GelColor and Nail Lacquer. That makes it simple to move a regular client between services: N25 Big Apple Red, W42 Lincoln Park After Dark and L87 Malaga Wine are listed here as dip jars and also as Intelli-Gel bottles. To stock the gel version of a dip shade, open OPI gel colors; for duos and other bundles built around one code, see OPI matching sets. Shades still read a little differently by format, so swatch the dip on a tip before promising a perfect match with a client's gel.
OPI icons you can stock as dip
- N25 Big Apple Red: a true, blue-based classic red that works year-round.
- L64 Cajun Shrimp: a warm coral-red with spring and vacation energy.
- L87 Malaga Wine: a rich, creamy burgundy and a fall and winter favourite.
- W42 Lincoln Park After Dark: a deep purple-black that reads black in low light and shows its purple in daylight.
- S061 OPI'm a Bubble Bunny: Funny Bunny and Bubble Bath combined into one milky pink, so there is no layering or mixing.
Newer riffs on the classics sit beside them: S071 Lincoln Park After Brunch is a lighter take on Lincoln Park After Dark, and S072 Big Apple Energy a fresh spin on Big Apple Red.
Seasonal OPI dip shades
- Spring 2026, The New OPIcons: the 45th anniversary drop, with dip jars such as S061 OPI'm a Bubble Bunny, S071 Lincoln Park After Brunch and S072 Big Apple Energy, plus a full set of 12. See OPI Spring 2026 OPIcons.
- Summer 2026, Trip To The Brite Side: brights from S073 Glowin' On Vacay to S084 Your Zestination Awaits, as single 1.5 oz jars, two six-colour sets and a 12-colour set. See OPI Summer 2026 collection.
- Fall 2026: twelve deeper dip shades such as F046 Lincoln Park at Midnight, alongside the gels and lacquers in OPI Fall 2026 shades.
The OPIcons drop was released in Nail Lacquer, Intelli-Gel and Powder Perfection at the same time, so a salon can offer the season's colours in every service from the first week. When you plan a seasonal display, order the dip jars together with the matching gels and lacquers, or pick the 3-in-1 version of the shades you expect to repeat most often, and keep the rest of the season as single jars that you reorder only when a client asks for them again.
Dip, gel or acrylic for your client
OPI positions Powder Perfection for clients who want strength without acrylic, for at-home use, and for anyone who wants a durable nail without the steps of a gel service. Compared with acrylic it needs less filing; compared with gel it needs no lamp, because the activator air-dries. Intelli-Gel, by contrast, cures in 30 seconds per coat under the OPI Star Light lamp and is rated for three weeks of wear. If you offer both, the 3-in-1 sets let a client switch between dip and gel without changing colour. For a fuller side-by-side of the two systems, read the comparison linked below.
Also on this page: OPI 4-in-1 builder gel
The grid also lists OPI's 4-in-1 builder gel in seven BIB shades and as a seven-colour set. It is a gel, not a dip product: it adheres soft gel tips, fills extensions, builds overlays and adds short to medium length. OPI lists it as HEMA-free and vegan, with a 10-second flash cure and a 30-second full cure, and it soaks off.
Buying OPI dip for a salon
Each jar is sold on its own, so you can reorder one code at a time and keep the colour wall complete without buying a full set again. Larger boxes, the 44- and 51-colour assortments and the seasonal sets, suit a salon opening a dip menu or adding a new season in one order; more bulk OPI sets are grouped in OPI salon bulk sets. Prices are shown on each listing and change with stock. Dip starter bundles, including the OPI colour and liquid combos, are also grouped in dip powder starter kits.
