How the OPI range is organised at DTK
OPI works in five formats, and almost every shade code runs through several of them. Intelli-Gel is the current gel system, original GelColor is the earlier gel formula, Nail Lacquer is the air-dry polish, Powder Perfection is the dip line, and the 3 in 1 sets bundle one code as dip, gel and lacquer. This page holds all of them, plus the base coats, top coats, prep liquids, builder gel, swatch display and the Star Light lamp. DTK sells OPI as an authorized reseller.
Because the grid is large, the quickest way to shop is by format. Each section below explains one format, what it is for, and which page lists it on its own. If you already know the shade code, type it into the search bar or filter the grid: the same code, such as S86 or L64, appears on the gel, lacquer, dip and trio listings that carry it.
Intelli-Gel: the HEMA-free OPI gel
Intelli-Gel launched in 2024 as OPI's reformulated gel. It is HEMA-free, TPO-free and vegan, and it comes with the Intelli-Brush, which has a rounded edge and a channelled stem. Two coats give full colour, each coat cures in 30 seconds under the OPI Star Light LED lamp or 2 minutes under UV, and a full service is rated for up to three weeks. A HEMA-free formula does not rule out reactions to other acrylates, so clients with a history of sensitivity should still patch test.
The Intelli-Gel system page gathers the shades, the Super Base coat and both Super Gloss top coats. Original GelColor
Original GelColor is the formula OPI introduced in 2011. It is a thin, brush-on soak-off gel that cures in 30 seconds under LED, gives a finish glossier than regular polish and is rated for up to three weeks; the bottles hold 0.5 oz (15 mL). Many salons keep it for the shades their regulars already know by code. Only Intelli-Gel carries the HEMA-free claim, so read the label of any original GelColor bottle before you offer it to a sensitive client, and follow the base and top OPI pairs with that system.
Nail Lacquer and nail care
OPI Nail Lacquer is the classic air-dry polish: no lamp, a vegan formula, more than 200 shades, and around five to seven days of wear with a base and top coat. It is the format for quick colour changes, pedicures and the bottle a client takes home. Browse classic OPI lacquer by shade for the single bottles.
The care side of the range sits here too. OPI Nail Envy is a strengthening treatment rather than a colour: it can be worn alone or used as a base under lacquer. OPI's routine is one thin coat on clean, bare nails, a fresh coat every other day, then remove and start again after seven days. The Natural Nail Base Coat gives lacquer something to grip and helps prevent staining, and there is a regular top coat, a matte top coat and the Expert Touch lacquer remover. For the gel side, Bond-Aid pH Balancing Agent is OPI's prep step before the base coat.
Powder Perfection dip
Powder Perfection is OPI's dip system, with more than 200 shades in an ultra-fine powder that applies without lumps. A dip set feels light yet strong, needs less filing than acrylic, uses no UV or LED lamp and is rated for three weeks or more. The colour jars hold 1.5 oz, and a handful of pink and white shades also come in 4.25 oz jars for French dip work.

OPI builder gel for structure
For clients who need length or strength rather than colour alone, the range includes OPI's 4-in-1 builder gel in several shades, such as BIB 002 Nude Sculpture and BIB 003 Fill My Espresso. It is used for tips, fills and overlays at short to medium length, it is HEMA-free and vegan, and it soaks off like gel. Each layer gets a 10 second flash cure to hold its shape, then a 30 second full cure. It pairs naturally with an Intelli-Gel colour on top, so a structured overlay and the colour service can stay inside one OPI system.
One code in every format: duos and 3 in 1 trios
Most OPI shades coordinate across gel, lacquer and dip, which is why OPI is easy to build a service menu around. A gel and lacquer duo gives a client the same colour on gel hands and lacquer toes; you will find them under OPI gel and lacquer pairs. Which OPI format fits the service
- A client asks for gel and mentions skin sensitivity: start with Intelli-Gel, the only OPI gel here sold as HEMA-free, and patch test first.
- A regular wants the exact gel code she had last time: check whether that code exists in Intelli-Gel, original GelColor or both before you reorder.
- Pedicure in the same colour as a gel manicure: a gel and lacquer duo keeps both on one code.
- Clients who want strength but not acrylic: Powder Perfection dip, with all of its liquid steps on hand.
- A menu that offers gel, dip and polish in every shade: 3 in 1 trios or one of the larger trio boxes.
- Weak or peeling natural nails between services: Nail Envy worn alone or under lacquer.
Applying Intelli-Gel step by step
- Shake: shake the colour bottle for about five seconds before you open it.
- Prep: clean and dehydrate the nail plate, then apply one coat of Bond-Aid pH Balancing Agent.
- Base: apply a very thin layer of Intelli-Gel Super Base and cure for 30 seconds under the Star Light lamp.
- Colour: apply two thin coats, curing each for 30 seconds.
- Top: finish with Super Gloss or Super Gloss No Wipe and cure for 30 seconds. Super Gloss leaves a tacky layer to wipe with a cleanser; the No Wipe version does not.
- Aftercare: a drop of cuticle oil, and ask the client to avoid heavy impact on the nails for the first day.
For removal, soak off with acetone wraps or a soak and lift the softened gel without forcing it. The OPI base, top and prep coats collect the bottles used in these steps, and the Star Light lamp sits with our LED gel lamps.

OPI releases its new colour stories as seasonal collections; the OPIcons launch, for example, arrived in lacquer, Intelli-Gel and dip at the same time. The current holiday release is the OPI x M&M's holiday line, and the autumn story is OPI Fall 2026 Most Requested. Earlier in the year OPI marked its 45th anniversary with the OPIcons Spring 2026 shades, twelve remixes of classic OPI colours. Seasonal sets and kits move faster than the core range, so check the stock line on each listing.
