Nail Flakes

Nail Flakes are loose, irregular-shape decorative pieces — mylar slices, iridescent mermaid pieces, holographic fragments — used to add dimensional shimmer to gel manicures. Stocked at DTK Nail Supply in pots and shaker bottles across silver, gold, multi-color, and holographic finishes.

Application sequence: apply color base and cure, then apply a thin clear gel layer (don't cure yet). Use tweezers to position individual flakes onto the wet gel, or sprinkle larger amounts for full coverage. Flash cure to lock the flakes in place. Encapsulate with a layer of builder gel or thick no-wipe top coat to embed the flakes flush with the nail surface — raised flake edges catch on fabric and pull off without encapsulation.
