LAVIS Nail Lacquer is a regular air-dry polish: it needs no lamp and comes off with ordinary polish remover, which suits polish changes, pedicures and clients who change colour often. LAVIS gel polish cures under an LED or UV lamp and is built for longer wear. Many shades carry the same number in both lines, so you can match a manicure and a pedicure.
Shades with the same number are made to match, and the gel and the lacquer read as the same colour on the nail. Expect a close match rather than an identical one, because gel and lacquer finish differently. Check a swatch of both on the client before a full matching set if an exact match matters.
Apply a thin base coat, then one or two thin coats of colour, letting each coat dry before the next, and finish with a top coat. Cap the free edge with each coat to help the colour last at the tip. Thin coats dry faster and smoother than one thick coat, which tends to stay soft and dent. Let the top coat dry fully before the client handles keys or bags, because fresh lacquer dents easily.
Use regular nail polish remover, acetone or non-acetone. Press a soaked pad on the nail for a few seconds and wipe from the cuticle towards the tip. Lacquer does not need soaking or filing like gel. Moisturise the cuticle afterwards, especially for clients who change colour often.
Search by the shade number, which is the same number used across the LAVIS gel line, or browse by name. Each shade is a separate listing with its own stock, so check the listing before you plan a set around a colour. Keeping lacquer and gel in the same numbers makes reordering and client records simple. Note the number on the client's card so the next visit is quick.
