Chaun Legend gel polish at a glance
Chaun Legend gel polish is designed by celebrity nail artist Chaun Legend, and it has a loyal following in Vietnamese-American salons. The formula is a rich, highly pigmented cream that covers in one or two coats and cures under an LED or UV lamp. Its main difference from many salon gels is the way it behaves on the brush: it stays where you place it instead of flowing toward the cuticle, so tight cuticle work, French lines and nail art bases are easier to control.
This page holds the whole gel side of the brand at DTK: every numbered single from LG5001 to LG5240, the themed bundles, the big library sets for salons that want the full wall, and the base and top coats made for the line. Acrylic powder, monomer and brushes from the same brand sit on separate pages, linked further down.
How the 240 numbers are organized
Every single bottle carries an LG code, and the codes run without gaps from LG5001 to LG5240. Reorders are easy because the number on the cap is the number in the title. The range is released in volumes:
- The earlier codes, everything before LG5111, open with sheers such as LG5001 Lactose Intolerant, LG5002 Angel Kisses and LG5003 Sheer Thought.
- Vol. 2.1 is the block from LG5111 to LG5175, 65 shades.
- Vol. 2.2 is the block from LG5176 to LG5240, another 65 shades.
The shades released as new colors are also gathered on the Back and Bolder new colors page.

Several library listings add a free gift that is named in the listing title, so check the title of the set you pick for the current offer.
Which format should you buy
- New to the brand: start with one 6-color bundle that matches your client base, plus the base and no-wipe top. You learn the formula on six shades before you commit to more.
- Running a seasonal menu: pick the bundle that matches the season and add singles for the two or three shades your clients ask for again and again.
- You already know your numbers: the Build Your Own 6 or 10 kit lets you choose every shade.
- Opening or refitting a salon: a Vol. set or the 240-color library puts the whole numbered chart on the wall at once, and singles keep it full afterwards.
Colors for fall and the holidays
Our seasonal chart for the line lists 92 spring shades, 41 summer, 50 fall and 98 winter, with some numbers counted in more than one season. For the current season, these fall shades are in stock now:
- Warm nudes and taupes: LG5103 Bottom Line, LG5105 Bank On It, LG5106 Taupe Notch, LG5108 Nutty Delight, LG5110 Toasted Buns and LG5067 Taupe of the Morning.
- Browns and coppers: LG5203 Meltdown, a warm earthy brown, plus LG5199 Caramel Drizzle and LG5209 Copper Crush.
- Reds: LG5063 Persimmon, a bright red with an orange touch, LG5213 Koko Red and LG5212 Hot And Juicy.
- Olives: LG5231 Peas And Love, LG5232 Extra Virgin and LG5233 Olive The Drama.
For the holiday rush, the winter side of the chart adds LG5079 King of Hearts, a deep vampy red, along with LG5090 Ruby Riches, LG5189 Berry Me Deep, LG5219 Plummeting and LG5081 Under The Mistle-gold. When spring comes back around, the Chaun Legend spring colors page collects the pastels, including LG5037 Baby Doll and LG5034 Powder Room, a milky pastel nude.
Sheers and soft tones
Several of the opening numbers are sheer, barely-there shades for clean, natural sets and French bases. Chaun's Celeb-Fave Sheers bundle groups six of them, including LG5001 Lactose Intolerant and LG5009 Love at First Sight, a playful mid-tone pink. The wider Sheer & Tones collection adds tonal browns and nudes such as LG5107 Risqué Business and LG5109 Crème De La Cocoa. If your clients like see-through color, compare them with other brands on our jelly and sheer gel page.
Inside the fall and evening bundles

How to apply Chaun Legend gel polish
- Prep: shape the nail and lightly buff the surface so the base has something to grip.
- Base: apply a thin, even layer of Chaun Legend Gel Base Coat, cap the free edge, and cure for 60 seconds under LED or 2 minutes under UV.
- Color: apply a thin coat of gel polish and cure it for 60 seconds under LED or 2 minutes under UV.
- Second coat: most shades cover fully in one or two coats. Add the second coat if you need it and cure it the same way.
- Top: seal with the Non-Wipe Top Coat for gloss or the Velvet Matte Top Coat for a soft matte finish, cap the free edge, and cure for 60 seconds under LED or 2 minutes under UV. Neither top leaves a sticky layer, so there is nothing to wipe.
Pro tip: because this gel holds its shape instead of leveling out, thin, even strokes matter. Place the color where you want it the first time, close to the cuticle, and the finished line stays crisp.
With correct prep and the full base, color and top system, a Chaun Legend manicure is made to last up to three weeks.
Base, no-wipe and matte top
The Chaun Legend base and top coats are made to pair with this color line. The base builds adhesion and gives a smooth canvas. The Non-Wipe Top Coat gives a high-gloss, chip-resistant finish. The Velvet Matte Top Coat turns any cured gloss color into a soft matte. On matte sets, ask clients to keep oil and lotion off the nails right after curing, because they can bring the shine back. The colors also work with other brands' base and top gels, but the matched system gives the most predictable wear.
Removal and aftercare
- Removal: file the top layer to break the seal, soak in acetone or wrap the nails with removal wraps for 10 to 15 minutes, then gently push off the softened gel.
- No scraping: if the gel does not lift easily, give it more soak time instead of forcing it.
- Between visits: a little cuticle oil each day keeps the skin around the gel soft. On a matte set, keep oil off the nails right after curing.
Stocking Chaun Legend for a salon
A practical way to start is a sheer bundle, one seasonal bundle and the base and top, then singles as clients point to shades. Keep a short list of the numbers your clients reorder most and buy those as singles, and bring in the next season's bundle before the season starts so swatches are on the wall when clients begin asking. If you run acrylic services too, the Chaun Legend acrylic powder and brushes page holds the matching powders and the brand's Kolinsky brushes, and the full Chaun Legend range shows everything from the brand in one grid.
