DC fall gel polish at a glance
This page collects the DND DC gel polish shades that DTK tags for fall: more than 80 single shades, plus the DC Part 9 Guilty Pleasures gel set. DC (Daisy Color) is the premium sister line to classic DND. It comes in gold bottles that hold 0.6 fl oz (18 mL), it uses its own shade numbers, and it is made for richer pigment and a glossier finish, so many shades cover in fewer coats. Every single shade here can be bought three ways: the gel bottle alone, the gel with its matching lacquer, or the lacquer alone.
The autumn palette leans on mochas and warm browns, dusky plums, smoky grays, deep reds and a short run of olive and hunter greens. If you want the full DC catalogue rather than the seasonal edit, start from DND DC gel and lacquer. For the classic 0.5 fl oz line in autumn tones, see DND classic fall shades.
Why techs reach for DC in autumn
Deep fall colours show every streak, and a dark shade that needs three coats slows the chair down. DC answers that with pigment: the line is formulated for full, even coverage in fewer coats and a high-gloss finish. A second reason is the bottle. At 0.6 fl oz, a DC bottle holds a little more than a 0.5 fl oz classic DND bottle, useful for the browns and plums that get used most this time of year.
The one rule that does not bend: DC needs a base coat. Use DC Base #800 under every DC colour for adhesion and wear, and seal with DC Top #900 No Cleanse. DND, DC and DIVA base and top gels are cross-compatible, but skipping the base on DC shortens wear and invites lifting.

Shade notes come from the product listings, and screens shift colour, so check a swatch against the client's skin before a full set. The DND and DC colour charts show each range on real swatches.
Building a fall menu with DC
- The quiet client: mocha nudes such as #311 Natural or #303 Essential read polished on short nails and suit office hands.
- The dark-nail regular: #060 Beet Root, #048 Electric Purple and #102 Charcoal Burst give depth without going flat black.
- The accent-nail fan: pair a brown base set with one olive or hunter green nail, such as #323 Vintage or #325 Icon.
- The red loyalist: #042 Red Cherry is a mahogany red with a mauve-brown undertone, #175 Berry Red adds shimmer for evenings.
- The soft-glow client: the shades listed as able to wear sheer, such as #180 Sweet Violet or #162 Clear Red, give a tinted, jelly-like look in thin layers.
Gel only, lacquer only or the duo
Each DC fall shade has three options on one listing. Pick Gel Polish Only when the colour is for gel services and you already carry the base and top. Pick Gel Polish & Lacquer when you want the matching bottle for pedicures, quick changes or a client to take home. Pick Lacquer Only for air-dry polish services. Stock is tracked per option, so one option can be sold out while another ships, and the listing shows which.
DC fall routine at the table
- Prep: push back the cuticle, take the shine off the nail plate and dehydrate.
- Base: one thin layer of DC Base #800, cured 30 seconds under LED or 2 minutes under UV.
- Colour: two thin coats, capping the free edge each time, each cured 30 to 60 seconds under LED or about 2 minutes under UV.
- Top: DC Top #900 No Cleanse, capped and fully cured; there is no sticky layer to wipe.
- Finish: cuticle oil, and the matching DC lacquer for toes if the client booked a pedicure.
Dark browns and plums are where thick coats cause trouble. A heavy layer cures unevenly and lifts early, so keep each coat thin even when a shade looks patchy after the first pass.
Working with the sheer DC shades
Several shades in this edit are listed as able to wear sheer, among them #180 Sweet Violet, #171 Maroon, #162 Clear Red and #172 Sugar Pink. Thin layers build them from a tint toward fuller colour, which suits a stained-glass autumn look or a soft wash over a nude. Cure each layer before adding the next, and judge the depth after the second coat rather than flooding the nail.
From fall into winter
A large part of this palette keeps selling after the leaves are gone: 29 of the fall shades also sit in the DND DC winter shades edit. Beet Root, Electric Purple, Charcoal Burst, Icon, Playground, Dusk Till Dawn and Cloud Castle are among them, so ordering them once covers two seasons of bookings. For the holiday stretch, DND winter wine shades gathers the deeper reds across DND and DC.
The Guilty Pleasures chart
Many of the higher numbers on this page, from #290 to #326, come from the DC Part 9 Guilty Pleasures chart. If you want the whole chart rather than single bottles, the Part 9 gel set holds 36 DC gel colours from that range in gold bottles, gel only, with the lacquers sold separately. Browse every Guilty Pleasures listing, single duos included, in DC Guilty Pleasures shades.
Stocking DC for the fall season
Because every DC shade carries its own number, you can reorder one colour at a time instead of rebuying a set, which keeps a seasonal wall tidy. A practical way to stock autumn is to anchor each mood with two or three shades: one light, one mid and one deep. For example, a brown row could run #308 Nostalgia, #053 Spiced Brown and #103 Bamboo Brown, and a plum row #180 Sweet Violet, #045 Pepperwood and #060 Beet Root. Add the matching lacquers for the shades your pedicure clients ask for most, and keep a spare DC Base #800 and Top #900 on hand, since every DC colour needs them. If you prefer one order for a whole chart, the Guilty Pleasures set covers the #290 to #326 range in gel.
Wear, lacquer and removal
- Gel wear: with DC Base #800, thin colour coats and DC Top #900, DC gel lasts up to 21 days.
- Lacquer: one or two coats over a base, finished with a top coat, typically lasts 5 to 7 days and comes off with acetone or non-acetone remover. The fall lacquers are also gathered in DC fall nail lacquer.
- Removal: file the top layer to break the seal, soak in 100% acetone for about 10 to 15 minutes, then lift with an orangewood stick.
For clients who react to HEMA, DC is not sold as HEMA-free. Point them to the DND HEMA and TPO Free line instead.
