Nail lacquer is regular nail polish that air-dries, so it needs no LED or UV lamp. Gel polish cures under a lamp and wears longer, while lacquer is quicker to change and comes off with ordinary nail polish remover. Many salons use lacquer for pedicures, quick colour changes and the bottle a client takes home. Several brands in this collection sell the same shade as a matching gel polish too.
This collection gathers every listing typed as Nail Lacquer on DTK. The largest groups are LAVIS, OPI, DND DIVA and DND DC, followed by LDS, Kiara Sky, Kiara Sky All-In-One, Gelish and a few Essie bottles. Each brand also has its own collection page, which is the better place to browse a full shade chart or a seasonal release.
Start with a clean, dry nail and a thin base coat. Apply one or two thin coats of lacquer, letting each coat dry for a couple of minutes, then finish with a top coat for shine and protection. Thin coats dry faster and chip less than one heavy coat. Wear time depends on the brand, the prep and the client's daily routine, so check each listing for the brand's own guidance.
Use the filters beside the grid to narrow by colour, availability, price or brand-related product type, then sort the results. If you know the brand and shade code, such as an OPI code or a DND number, searching the store for that code is the fastest way to reach the exact bottle. Filtering to in-stock items first avoids sold-out shades.
Lacquer is made to be worn with a lacquer base coat and a lacquer top coat, while gel top coats belong to gel systems that cure under a lamp. Keep the two systems separate unless a brand's listing says they can be combined. If a client wants the longer wear of gel, choose the matching gel polish shade from the same brand instead, which many brands in this collection also sell.
